The Infrastructure Sustainability Council is a not-for-profit certified social enterprise and peak body for infrastructure sustainability in Australia and New Zealand. Our mission is to accelerate sustainability in infrastructure through collaboration. Our IS Rating Tool allows projects and assets to measure and achieve a sustainability score, we offer education and training, and we create a community of practice by bring experts together at our events and conferences. Materials & Embodied Carbon Leaders’ Alliance (MECLA) brings together different sectors across the building and construction supply chain to reduce embodied carbon in the industry. Collectively, we can gain a better understanding of barriers to uptake and find the solutions that will be vital to moving ahead. MECLA recognises the growing demand for lower and zero-carbon materials worldwide and is determined to transform the building and construction sector to reach Net-Zero emissions. Together, we are keen to explore how we can work together to move Australia towards a zero-carbon economy and position Australia in the top five zero-carbon materials suppliers.
The Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) is the peak body of key organisations committed to a sustainable built environment in Australia. ASBEC’s membership consists of industry and professional associations, non-government organisations and government observers who are involved in the planning, design, delivery and operation of our built environment, and are concerned with the social and environmental impacts of this sector.
